Aquamarina Costa Brava recently acquired a vessel manufactured at the Galician shipyard Polymade. With this addition, the company ensures complete traceability of its product.
The vessel, named Aquamarina, will operate along the coast of Girona, specifically near the boundaries of the Montgrí-Illes Medes Natural Park. This vessel has been conceived and specifically designed for seawater collection, making it the first of its kind in Spain. This innovative design, created specifically for this activity, positions the company as a pioneer in this process. Subsequently, the captured water is treated and filtered at the bottling plant located in Ullà. With this setup, the company maintains total control over the production process.
The Aquamarina, capable of suctioning up to seven thousand liters of seawater, employs a system to pump the water into onboard tanks. The operation involves moving away from the coast to an optimal point to ensure the quality and purity of the water.
